I plan on finishing my exhaust (pacesetter and highflow cat) in about a month. Now I'm thinking about dipping into the internals. I was just wondering who uses SLP's rocker arm package and was there a noticeable gain. Thanks :)

Re: SLP Rocker Arm Package
go check out clubgp.com for lots of info on rockers. lots.
very popular mod for the W body cars.
i would recommend the slp 1.9 rockers over other brands from what I have read.
the price is the best as well.
plan on comp 105 valve springs at the same time. you will also need ls1 or Ls6 retainers (same thing) the srpings and retainers are mandatory. is our search feature working yet?
either way, read the stickies at the top of this forum. the info regarding aftermrket springs, retainers and also the timing chain tensioner are discussed in depth. do it right the first time and save the hassle.
as the the rocker mod in general:
if you don't plan on ever upgradeing the cam butyou still want a little extra out of your motor then rockers will be noticeable gain. nice thing is they don't 'require' tuning and they are much easier to install than a full valvetrain/cam conversion. you will require many tools as well as specialty tools such as clamp style valve spring compressor, telescoping magnet, air hold fitting, air compressor, 3/8" drive torque wrench, to name a few.
if you are a pretty good mechanic you can do it yourself. it would not be worth installing the 1.9 rockers and springs if you had to pay somebody.
really, check out clubgp.com for more and the latest info and reviews on the different rocker packages. slp 1.9 are the newest as of a couple of months ago.

Re: SLP Rocker Arm Package
As for SLP no longer having the rockers:
I was at Summit Racing about a week ago to check up on the price, since I plan to have them on my 3.8 soon. Apparently, Summit is no longer carrying the SLP rocker kit for our engines. Don't know if SLP has haulted production, or if it's just Summit. But, it's a start.

Re: SLP Rocker Arm Package
i am in the same boat as you ran out of bolt on's but heres what i have found with looking into the rocker arm (i will post once i have time the exact sites) Now at 3800performance they sell the 1.90 ratio rocker arms for 274.99
http://www.3800performance.com/Merch...roduct_Count=1
but if you read they were origanlly stock rockers that were modified to 1.9 so are we taking a chance by buying these? Because i have found another site (i will put up once i get back home) that sells 1.85 ratio rocker arms for 299.99 doesn't have the LIL KIT with it like 3800 but if you read carefully 38000 doesn't say it is giving you the "kit" in that price anyfeed back to what i am saying? AND IS THERE REALLY GONNA BE A DIFF from 1.85 to 1.90?\"its been long over due\"
