If you do port the heads, dont you port the intake bigger than exhaust?
I think there used to be a lengthy writeup about it/heads on the old server?
The writeup also said that Abbott heads were better in a way because
they have better intake/exhaust combinations that arent huge amounts of porting done.

You want to do it yourself? I wouldn't really suggest that unless you know what you're doing. Abbott and SSM didn't get to be good by just reading a book on it. ;)
i did my heads myself, when my head gasket went. all i did was get ride of all the ruff edges, and bumps, it was not to hard. just get a die grinder and some scrap metal, practice on the scrap till you are comfitable, and then try on your heads.
i did not notice anything, my car is mostly stock, all i have done is headers. im sure once i get a new air box and exost i will get more power out of the engine, to take advage of the ported heads.
Anybody can do it themselves. Just get a dremel and go at it. But grinding off a couple sharp corners is not going to give the results of a professional with years of experience with these very heads. It could easily make things worse. ;)

Just ordered some Toyo 315/35/17 tires for my 17x11 rims. Hopefully I can get them on the beginning of next year. Will post pics.
