What is the best cam to get from summit racing? I have a 2000 firebird and if you have any other suggestions let me know!

there are other companies which have a specialty in

i think its more of what specs do you want? than who makes it
do you plan on doing nitrous, supercharger, or turbocharger?
you'll probably want about $500-$600 available

It is all a matter on what plans you have for the car. If you wiped a lobe and need a cam. You need to ask yourself how long you plan on keeping the car and what mods you plan to throw at it. You have Nitrous and Boost cams and Cams that will make power with out that in mind. Comp GT2 is a great naturally aspirated cam.
You asked about installation...well the stickies above from AZ3.8 say plan on spending about $1800-$2000 for parts and labor. I got a quote for $1700.
A cam swap on our cars (speaking about 3.8s) is not mechanic friendly. There are technicians who b!tch about it and they are pro's.sigpic
