Okay it started out with a cracked EGR pipe that was causing mme to run lean and throw the P0171 and 174. The car was still running pretty lean but not as bad, I just figured the mechanic did not get the pipe to seal well so I took the EGR assembly apart and resealed it with high temp RTV sealant. It was still running lean and started throwing the P0420 code so I took the EGR apart again and sealed it up really good this time but my STFTs were still running 18% and LTFTs were running 19.5%. Next I calibrated my MAF and the Trims were staying mostly slightly negative but still were very inconsistant. One day they would run -5% the next day 5%, the next day -2% and so on.
Then oddly when I have filled up the car the trims went crazy rich. I pulled into the gas station they were -4% when I started it to leave they were
-25% and stayed rich the whole way home. But the next morning they were back to the way they were before. This has happened 2 times after I have gotten gas and once in the morning.
I just don't know anymore, FPR maybe, or fuel filter causing fuel delivery problems. I am going to check my fuel pressure with a mechanical gauge tommorrow because my electrical is crap.
Do you guys have any other suggestions. I am positive the EGR is not leaking anymore. I made gaskets for each end of the pipe by cutting up and using the EGR valve gaskets.
