pulled 7 codes off computer. please help..

    pulled 7 codes off computer. please help..

    P0113 - IAT sensor 1 circuit high input..

    p0140 - o2 sensor. CKT no activity. (bank 1 sensor 2)

    p0147 - o2 sensor heater circuit malfunction (bank 1 sensor 3)

    p0153 - o2 sensor CKT slow response (bank 2 sensor 1)

    p0300 - random.multiple misfire.

    p1133 - manfacurer contrl. Fuel air metering

    p1153 - manfacurer contrl. Fuel air metering..


    Recently had a misfire ONLY when the engine was at load. Changed plugs and wires. still misfire. when i drive normally or like grandma its fine with no misfires. Once i hit the gas to accelerate it misses.

    a buddy of mine said to check the MAF sensor. he also said it could be numerous things. such as a bad coil pack, fuel pump, MAF sensor.. but he said o2 sensors will not cause a misfire.

    anyone help?

    its ONLY when i hit the gas to accelerate. i guess half throttle and more..

    I'm thinking it could be the fuel pump going out because you're getting a multiple misfire because there's not enough fuel going into the cylinders. How many miles does your car have?

      Yeah, I'm with him. Seems like it has to be the fuel. O2s would be caused either by them going bad (not too likely they'd all go at once) or because there's a bad air-fuel mixture. Then you have the "fuel air metering," whatever that means.

        car has 90k on it right now.

        This weekend im gonna replace the fuel filter and hook up a guage to check my fuel pressure.

        can anyone tell me what the normal readings should be for fuel pressure.. for idle and for wide open...?

          Sounds like you are having the same trouble as me. However I'm getting different codes. Check out my post, it's right below yours right now, about misfire. But, my car is the same way, it's driveable as long as you barely touch the pedal, but if you give it to much gas or get on it, it misfires like crazy. But, yeah, check out my post, I've changed everything from fuel filter, spark plug wires, PCV, changed to new Plat 4 spark plugs.. then changed them to AC Delco Spark plugs, put in new Denso 02 sensors(still getting the 02 code after driving a little) I'm getting ready to try a new ICM, if that doesn't work, i'm going to take it back, and I guess change to new coils... I'm not driving my car until I fix it though, because the new Plat 4's I put in my car, I didn't drive them but maybe a week or two, maybe 400 to 500 miles, and they looked bad... I'm not going to ruin the AC Delco plugs... Hope we can find the problem to what'z going on with our cars... :(

            yea man i read up on your post. i always found it funny that whenever im about to post a problem.. someone else posts right before me with the same thing..

            anyways. yea im shopping around for fuel pumps. thinking of getting a walbro 255lph intank pump.

            mine seems like it can be fuel pump cause its been having trouble at start up.

              With that many codes present, without a factory service manual and a scan tester, you're probably going to waste a lot of money throwing parts at these problems. You may even waste more money than it costs to buy the factory books and have the engine controls scanned or even what it costs to buy one of the entry-level scan testers from AutoXray or Actron/Sunpro.

              With the factory manuals and the tester, it may end up being pretty easy to solve all those DTCs.

                the p0140 something is wrong with the that sensor, and it most likely needs replaced, i would do both since they have some miles on them.

                the front 2 o2 sensors directly affect engine timing, since yours arent in full working condition it is very possible you could be way out of time. this could very likely explain why when you go to acclerate it will misfire. these would be the 1st things i would change.

                i beleive the iat sensor also effects timing so id check to see if anything is obstructing it too.

                fuel filter is also a good thing to do.

                  Hey Tyler, got mine fixed, check out my post. It was the coil packs. I just changed all 3. :D
