its been a while since i posted. for those people that don't know what i have. currently i have stage 3 abbott racing heads, cam, 3.73 gear ratio, lsd, nitrous {wet}, headers, ram air, and borla cat back exhaust. soo.....last week i bought some forged pistons 10:3:1 ratio and some rods. i am excited and looking for some nice "runs."
Questions
1. What is a safe shot to use?
2. What extra hp will i get in pistons?
3. Do I have to send my computer back to texas speed to get retune?
2. The stock C.R. is 9.4:1. You will get a gain from the fact that you can run more boost/nitrous from Forged Pistons/Rods, which will give you a gain with extra boost/nitrous.
Although thats a Higher C.R. which means you cant run as much boost.
SO, I dont really know, I'm no expert.
Good luck getting your "runs" out
Whose gonna tear the engine apart? You might want to get the Intense Cometic Head Gasket?
if your not running boost that setup will go great with the nitrous. nitrous loves high compression. you wil have to run premuim gas all the time though. if not you run the risk of the motor going south. I would defiently get the PCM retuned too.

get the PCM retuned and have them tune it for 93 octance since you WILL have to use 93 on a daily basis with the higher compression. your car is gonna love nitrous after you get them installed

David, you will be able to run on 91 all the time. However, you won't gain any power from the pistons themselves, just the added compression. But you will be able to run more nitrous with no worries. The lowest shot I have run is 100 and that was just on one dyno pull, every other time was 150. Just make sure you have the fuel system to handle it.
thank you! What i was thinking use 91 daily driving. when i do race run 93 octane and 150 shot of "juice." My fuel system is the walbro fuel pump. Would that work?
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
