does anyone know the gains from porting and polishing a straight throttle body on a 99 'maro? I'm looking for something cheap that will keep me busy while my cash flow recharges.

You are sooo wrong, let me tell you why:
If you P&P the TB, the maf will not read correctly anymore and you will be running lean which is noooo good.
You will hardly gain anything from P&Ping because our intakes are sufficient as is (unless you have a highly modified engine).
You would have to recalibrate the maf if you P&P it. Which is'nt that difficult if you had HP T or DHP with a wideband sensor. On HP T, you'd have to have the PRO version!
