In the Haynes it says I can reuse lifters if I get a new cam. AND
the original cam can be reused if new lifters are put in.
Can I reuse both, provided they are both in good condition, and the lifters are put back in the exact same spot?
    thanks

    Re: used engine parts

i used stock lifters after doing my cam swap... they didnt last much longer tho.. probably replaced them about 5000 miles after doing the cam.

Why would you want to reuse the cam?

but if you do reuse the lifters, just check the roller part for scratches, or any other blemishes.. cause whatever crap is on the lifter, it will get into the cam... and thats not a good thing. even a little wear line that you can see but not feel can cause a problem... do it right the first time. so you dont have to buy more parts to replace somthing you should have done from the start

I would want to reuse the cam to save $$$ of course. What would you suggest me do? Why would I not reuse the stock cam?

why didnt your lifters last? what made you notice they were going? were they ticking?
      thanks

if the cam is coming out? why not replace it with a new aftermarket?

my stock lifters went out i believe because of the extra pressure on them and the higher lift mixed wih higher RPMs.. they becan to tick then tap then it just got annoying... so Comp OE-Rs went in ...
