hey everyone...
soooo.....i have a 1996 rs camaro and she is getting kinda old 129k....and what i have always wanted to do was get a turbo kit for it. now i dont want to do this on my motor as it is so old, and it is my daily driver. i was thinking about getting another 3.8 and at my leisure build it up with some new pistons/rings, cam, headwork, ect. and eventually put it in my car with a turbo kit on it
now for my questions
where is a good place to find a 3.8 for a project like this? i have checked ebay but im sure shipping on one would kill me.
good turbo kit suggestions (i really like the custom one for sale from shane....but i doubt ill have the money up in time to get it)?
should i use my stock pcm from the 96 or try to find a motor that includes a pcm - i have been told 96's cant be tuned, but others can....and that if i have to keep my computer that i can swap one in from a 97 without much trouble
and finially....any rear gearing suggestions?? i think 3.73's sound good...but im not sure b/c i have an a4.
