  • Overheating woes

Over the last month I've had the following issues
    - Redline heat
    - Sludge in the radiator
    - Frozen thermostat
    - Odd idling
    - Low voltage

    So far I've done this
    - Flush Radiator
    - Replace thermostat
    - Replace Alternator
    - Replace serpentine belt

It's better, but it's still acting up. While I'm cruzing up the freeway, I'm at maybe 210 degrees, tops. At slow and go, or stop light traffic, I can peak a little above 3/4 of the gauge, almost to redline sometimes...

My next logical step is replacing the water pump. I've got it and will do that in the next few days.

Can anyone elsse think of anything I'm missing here????

    Re: Overheating woes

it seems you have an air flow cooling problem. clean your radiator, check for something blocking it like a bag. see if your fans are turning on.
