Should I get head studs? I think I might. I've changed head gaskets twice, this will be my third time. I'm just worried that after I rebuild the engine and put the head gaskets back on I might get low compression and have to mess with something..
Thanks

Studs are way better than head bolts. Probably overkill in your situation.
But here is something to consider, if you do use studs and if you have any work to perform on the engine that require the heads to be removed, you probably will not be enough clearance under the cowl to move the heads clear of the block. You might have to remove the engine or at least disconnect and move the engine forward to get the heads off.

I think I only blew it once, I think only on cylinder #1.
The block is Iron, the head is Iron, I dont think I'll have problems.
I dont think its warped.
That would really suck to have to remove the engine, slide it forward, everytime I want to take off the heads! Maybe I'll talk to ARP about that one.

I would still check the block. Lay a straight edge on it and check the gap under the straight edge. I forgot what an acceptable gap is, so check a service manual. It's better to find out now when the head is off then once you get the engine back together. If for nothing else piece of mind.
I agree head studs are overkill, just use some ARP head bolts and you should be fine.
Hello every one, ozzy here ive been looking at this page for weeks now finally joined. So my question is why is it that every turbo build forum just ends...
Just ordered some Toyo 315/35/17 tires for my 17x11 rims. Hopefully I can get them on the beginning of next year. Will post pics.
