ok, i've soldered all of the wires to the correct wires from the harness, i have the interface modules on the right channels, so i know all of the is right. could it be my battery connection? maybe its not getting a clear current to the box. Can anybody help me? i've looked at the how to on the other thread and i dont have any loose connections at all. the car runs perfect with the bypass on and misses horribly with the box plugged in. help please.

Re: msd doesnt work. HELP ME!!
my msd ignition is making my car misfire. i have the coil interface modules, all of the wires leading to the modules are soldered. and when i plug the msd harness to the box my car has a horrible mis. but when i plug the bypass in the car is perfect. i know its not the box because i had it sent in and tested and everything was perfect. so what could be my problem?

Re: msd doesnt work. HELP ME!!
check for good ground connection. Is your red wire wired straight to the battery?? Man that the only thing I can think of. I know i have problems sometimes, car doesnt want to start sometimes then i put bypass and start it. Then to the box again and for some reason it starts again, weired.http://www.cardomain.com/id/lucky19

Re: msd doesnt work. HELP ME!!
where is the best place to get a GREAT ground connection? where did you ground yours at? i cant really ground it at the battery cause its got the screw on terminals and it wont make a good connection. and my power is running shortly after the positive terminal on the battery on the thick red wire.

Re: msd doesnt work. HELP ME!!
3.4 or 3.8? DIS 4? I put the DIS 4 on my 3.4 a few months ago. one of the coils had to be wired backwards. you need to get a voltmeter and check the coil prongs to make sure the wires are not crossed. I think it was the top right coil that needed the wires switched. my red power wire runs directly to the battery terminal. for the ground there are bolts in the frame between the headlights and the radiator shroud (the plastic covering for the radiator) thats the ground point I used. are you 100% sure your plug wires on on correctly? double check before you do anythign else.Last edited by andrew.brandon; 06-25-2006, 03:47 PM.95 Firebird
http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/673250
http://photobucket.com/albums/y217/andrewbrandon19/

me on a good day------> linky
