    Hey all,

I have a question about my 02 firebird. I know and have heard a few of you on the board have a very nice “lobbing” sound to you 3.8. I’m looking to do the same thing on my car but I’m not sure where to start. What all would I have to do to get my motor to “lob” and sound almost like a drag car? I know that I will have to mess around with the heads and the cam. But I’m clueless when it comes to the duration of the cam that I need. As far as the cam goes, I’m looking for a good all around cam. Since my car is a dally driver. But I do what my motor to be able to breath and perform. If anyone know and could help me out that would be awesome!

    Once again thanks all

    Re: motor question

yea a cam does that to your engine.

I would say to go with the GT2 cam for a good all around cam, you will need a tune though with it

      Re: motor question

      thanks 97rs,

I know the cam will lob all by it self and the tuning is no prob I have a shop right accross the road from my work that can tune it. All I need to get is the parts and H.P. Tuners.

      Thanks again

gt2 will be more lumpy at idle for ya and you will gain a few more ponies from it. check out their website for the differences
