Ok, you know how in the connecting rod it has a mark? It has one on the rod bearing side and one on the bearing cap side. Are these opposite? Or do the marks go on the same sides.

Did you not see how it was when you pulled it apart? Normally the grooves are on the same side though, but I can't say I'm positive on the 3.8.
