SO I have about 150 miles or so on my newly installed parts, I figured it was time for a WOT hit. so I tried one, and instantly I noticed my usual semi tire shredding launch to not really be evident. I was pretty let down at the launch wondering what was going on...and then....I hit about 4000 rpms and the car pulled in a way I have never felt before, it was unreal, motor sounded great everything was awesome. All in all, I am sad to see me lose a bit off the line, and that could very well be cause the car is running lean right now after a brand new install of the 65's ( still have to install my walbro). However, the upper RPM gains are breathtaking, and this is unturbo'd I may just lose it the first time I hit it at 10 PSI. that turbo cant get here fast enough, alright, time to catch some sleep.

yea, most engine mods move your power into the higher RPMs and leave you with not much low endLast edited by slow6; 07-09-2006, 02:15 AM.2k2 camaro, K&N, SLP whisper lid, Konis, AEM, HP Tuners, Angel eyes/Halos, CF SS ram air hood, 4.10s, Zexel Torsen, UMI SFCs, CrossFire, BFGs, Gatorback, Catco, Flows, and TLC! right.
thats the point of most engine mods, to move your RPM's up and make more power in the higher RPM's

Re: First WOT w/heads,cam,rockers,etcetc....
Remember how we noticed your car was running really lean and codes popped up? Well you might have a vaccum leak. When you pull your heads again check to make sure all of your wires/sensors/connectors/etc are connected to where they should be.
Also, I would wait a while before another WOT run. Your fuel trims may or may not have learned yet...........if you indeed do have a leak somewhere, WOT on a lean motor? Not too smart:slap:

Heads, big cams, etc raise the powerband. You need a torque converter.
