I'm swapping a 99 3.8 A4 into a 95 camaro convrt. that was a 3.4 A4. I know I have to swap the pedal assembly for the drive by wire and the dash harness, but do I need to swap the dash and gauges from the 99 into the 95? Would it make the swap easier?
I know the 99+ cars had a different gauge cluster and harness than the 98 cars. Something about a Class 2 data line being used to drive the gauges. So I'm pretty sure you're going to need at least the cluster. I don't know if it will fit the 95 dash or not...
The v6 camaros are NOT drive-by-wire on the throttle, it's cable linkage. The v8 camaros aren't either - cable there too, only corvettes are on the drive-by-wire.
