Are ROD bolts torque to yield?
Are any other bolts in the engine besides
head bolts and rocker arm bolts "torque to yield"?
meaning they can only be used once.
I'm so happy I'm getting comp cams reusable rocker arm bolts!

what do you want reusable rocker arm bolts? it would be a good idea since they are only like $7 more than stock replacements!
zzperformance has the cheapest... get the comp cam's brand and not the ARP's unless you wanna spend more on the ARPs

I just found out (on my own) that flexplate bolts are
"Torque-to-Yield"!!! Well, ya know, its about time I
found this out (by myself).

I heard that more bolts are torque to yield:
head bolts, flexplate bolts, rocker arm bolts,
front cover, rear cover, main caps, to name a few.
CAN THIS BE VERIFIED??? DOES ANYONE HAVE ANYKIND of CLUE?
Yeah. Google "torque to yield" for much information.
A few key points:
You can't say a specific thing (head, rod, etc) is TTY. Some are, some aren't. You need the factory specs for your particular bolt.
"You may find them used to hold cylinder heads, connecting rods, crankshaft main bearing caps, flywheels and front engine dampers. When a shop manual indicates that a bolt is to be discarded and new ones used, they are almost always torque-to yield bolts."
TTY bolts are part of a highly engineered design. Replacing them with non-TTY bolts, even good ones, may be risky.
"Compared to conventional type bolts, TTY bolts offer the engine manufacturer a number of advantages including greater flexibility of design, reductions in component costs, more accurate assembly and reliability of seal. Engines designed utilising TTY head bolts require fewer head bolts to achieve the desired clamping loads then those using conventional bolts. With fewer bolts the engine manufacturer has more flexibility in cylinder head and block design as well as reducing the cost of the engine."

How come I cant find replacement torque to yield bolts(besides main caps, rocker arms, and head bolts)????
" If in doubt replace is a safe method but be warned these bolts are not always available. The after-market parts suppliers have just upgraded their range in 2002 to a level that covers the most common applications."
In other words, you may have to get these from the manufacturer.
