    has anyone done this???? i was thinking about buying a set of stock heads and porting and ploishing them... and then building the valvetrain for a cam.. also how much would that run??

    I can check with a firend who ported heads for his L67...post it tomorrow.

      porting heads is an art, it takes years of research & Design as well as flowbenches and other machines to get good at it
      I've done my own head porting, but I'm sure it is nothing better than what the factory designed.
      More than likely, all my cylinders are running all different AFRs now
      2k2 camaro, K&N, SLP whisper lid, Konis, AEM, HP Tuners, Angel eyes/Halos, CF SS ram air hood, 4.10s, Zexel Torsen, UMI SFCs, CrossFire, BFGs, Gatorback, Catco, Flows, and TLC! DONT feed the Trolls!

        Ok,

        I wanna clear somethin up. All our vendors such as zzp, intense and so on all take stock heads and port and polish them adding their own valvetrains to them.

        By porting your own heads, its extremely inaccurate in terms of exact head flow measurement, every intake and exhuast port need to be perfectly tuned in conjunction with the camshaft.

        My reccommendation to you if you dont wanna buy a set of heads would be to either take your heads to a machine shop and have them do it for you because at least they will have the propper tools and possible a flow bench to insure flow consistency or if you do it yourself all I would do is polish the ports, just getting all the crap off and getting a nice smooth finish.

        In actuality, the stock heads flow rather good, as you can see in my writeup up top, the stock heads have the best exhaust to intake ratio.
        SLP CAI, RK Sport headers, P&Ped heads and intake, GT2 cam, Upgraded valvetrain, Z28 rear axle with 4.10s Tx Spd tune, Z06 rims, 2.5\" exhaust to flowmaster, 160* thermo, B&M ripper, upgraded ignition, rockford fosgate 12\" with sony xplode amp and HU.

          lol sorry.. i didnt mean i was going to do it myself... i dont trust my self that much lol... i just didnt want to but a set of aftermarket...i was going to get a set and take them to a shop..
