can anyone help me...I'm not going to be able to get a lift for the camaro, so I'm going to have to take the engine out from the top. Can anyone give me a step by step or point me in the right direction.

you dont need a car lift to get it out from the bottom.. just a engine cherry picker / hoist you just hook it up to the frame of the car and drop the k-member. This procedure is the factory recommended way, but it is not safe though, thats the only problem.

Yes, I'll give you a step by step: buy a haynes or chilton's

In section 2E-5 and 2E-6 it says how to remove it. Of course its gonna reference other chapters cause there are 4 different engines in the book.
        Every engine is completely different.

It says that it is impossible to remove the engine by yourself, but I proved them wrong.

Yea, I just pulled my 96 a few weeks ago, and a 95 about a week ago, by myself, out the top. Do as slow6 says, Haynes manual was very clear. It'd probably be much quicker with someone else helping, but it's not necessary.
