I recently picked up a 93 Firebird V6 for cheap, and am planing on doing alot of modding over several stages.
First off, I will be switching out the old intake and heads in favor of the newer alu. 3400 heads/intake. I have a few questions though. I am aware that I will also need to replace the pistons, to lower the Compression Ratio, but, I would like to lower the ratio ever further, as I will be turbocharging the car in Phase 2.
Would It be possible to lower the CR with a thicker head gasket, Or would I get a very small drop in the CR?
Secondly, do the pace setter headders that are made for the 3.4 V6 Bolt up to the 3400 heads? Because I plan to mount the turbo outside of the engine compartment.
Lastly, Who makes good gaskets for the 3.4V6/3400, as I really dont want to use that cheap Autizone crap.
