$250... plus new bearings, bolts, gaskets etc. All that adds up quick. As long as its out of a GTP and it hasnt been beat on its entire life, you will be just fine using it.

                            Re: motor for boost

try having the motor balanced without needing the balance shaft. knife-edge the crank to flow through the oil better, cryo treat the block, heads, rods, pistons, turbo(torn down into separate housing and center section), and valvetrain components. this will allow for more breathing room in case things turn for the worst with tuning and all parts will last a lot longer due to better wear characteristics. have the piston tops, combustion chambers, headers, exhaust housing on the turbo, and intake thermal coated. this will keep the intake charges cooler, coolant temps lower, engine oil cooler, provide more heat energy to spool the turbo, and increase hp. Try to wait for the aluminum heads ZZP is coming out with early next year if possible due to better flow numbers and lower weight. when it comes to turbos, boost helps determine hp, but so does CFM, or flow numbers. 2 cars with the same boost level and type of motor won't necessarilly put out the same power. the car that can flow more thru the motor will have more power, even if it were to run slightly less boost than the other. Try to also increase redline to 7000 rpm to help with hp production.

Viper... If the rods are 250, pistons are 600, about how much (expenses) for fuel management and miscellaneous expenses are we looking at for 350 HP??

you dont need rods and pistons to make 350 hp
