hey guys! well i am geting borad of my v8 s10:( so i want to make my 97 3.8 fast "i think it would be cool to have a fast v6". so i am geting a spare block so i can go all out on it while i still drive it. my plan is to build this motor for high boost with a custom turbo setup "my brother has offerd to help out and he is a VAREY good tig welder" so i need to know what parts i should put in this thing as far as rods pistons, gaskets, good barings. you know stuff like that.

hay guys thanks for all the help

    Re: motor for boost

diamond has pistons ~$600 for uncaoted and ~900 for coated
get the 3800 Series III con rods (they are factory forged and know one has broke one yet ~$250 for the set of 6)
    ARP the bottom end
MLS head gaskets and ARP head studs
Good bearings (most use cleavite tri-metal) but other top brands work to

then get some heads and a cam from abbott racing

then make a turbo kit... if you bro has the skills make a FFH kit like mine (see pic)

if M5 car beef up the 5 speed or it will explode...... if auto get a stall and beef it up

finally get a WB and HP Tuners to tune it with

T-70 or bigger if you are really serious about this.

If you go bigger than T-70 it must be a BB, otherwise you will have trouble reaching full boost quick.
No bigger than like a T-76 if BB go with liek ..... .84 A/R if not .63 or so

        Master Power
        Garrett
        TURBONETICS

        just a few ideas.
