my firebird is still being thrown off by bout 7 miles an hour i saw something from granatelli about recalibrating your system through your laptop to correct the gears and the tire sizes. now jet also offers one where it will do both the gears and tires but also error out the governor for much cheaper.. im not really sure bout trusting jet performance due to some prior experience. but now i was wondering what would be better the jet or the granatelli. its on fttp.net/v6main.htm. also i was just wondering if any one has done this so i can see learn how to do it prior to doing it for some insight knowledge and also how hard would this be on the difficulty factor from 1-10

just spend the money for hp tuners instead and be set for life tuning wise. Or you can get a mail order tune for gears, governor, and some other basic things.

What you are referring to is our GranSpeedo. What you do is program the GranSpeedo with any computer via a serial port adapter plug that comes with it. We supply you with a disc that has our drivers as well as the location of VSS wires on common vehicles. After you have programmed the GranSpeedo and identified the VSS wire, you splice into the wire. Our GranSpeedo gives unlimited capabilities for specific tire/axle sizes compared to the handhelds, which only give you a list to chose from.
