MSD Coils

[Green Machine]

Im looking into getting the MSD ignition coils and performance wires to go along with them, does anyone have a part number for those coils. do i have to stick with the O.E mm wire specs or can i upgrade to something bigger like 10mm or 13mm. Any advice will help. thanx

i just installed my yesterday...will the part number be on top of the msd coils? and when you say mm what exactly do you mean?

just go with 8.5mm super conductors.. i like mine there is no need to go 10 or 13mm thats race wires man and your not gonna need anything close to that it will be a waste of cash

He's right. 8.5 will do just fine, you wont get any more performance with anything bigger.

chris mm is millemeter or how every u spell it....i got 8.5 wires from msd...they worked just fine until i sold my coils to chris

yes you did sell them to me! They are on the car as of yesterday and to greenmachine the part number for those coils is: 8224

advance auto has a really ****ing big book for msd products...that where i got mine...and i work there so i got a really sweet price

I also have the MSD coil/wire combo. It sees to work really well.

cool, did you see a major or minor difference with the wire/coil combo? i plan to follow the "Fast victor 6" editorial from Camaro Performance the magazine. They have an ongoing project that is producing pretty good power gains. check it out.

i'm runing ac rapid fires,ac delco stock wires and msd coils...decent gains in mid range but top end still sucks...and 5th gear
