Wow, I hadn't seen those before.
Hmmm...
Well, bottom line is ZZP is covering up for not including instructions for the kit.
I have had NO good experience with them so far.
I ordered a gasket set and got the wrong one.
I also got the wrong crank bolt, which they insisted was the only crank bolt made for the 3.8 ever. Zooomer even said that I would be called an idiot if I posted about it. Turns out he was right, that was the proper crank bolt.... FOR THE L67, just like the L67 gasket set he sent me, including the charger gasket.
It was 2X too long (maybe it would fit the pre 97 NA motors, I dunno) but it would not even thread into the crank enough. So I said f*ck it. I will NEVER buy anything from them again.
LOL SAME!!! EXACT!! situation when i did my first cam swap.
it is a known fact that the gasket set is wrong from them for our cars. The l36 and l67 cars they deal with have different intake manifolds and such. That is why people usually just run to a parts store. Getting mad over the gaskets being wrong is nobody's fault but your own. You are under the grand prix section and they don't make things just for camaros/firebirds. We have to work with whatever they use for the grand prixs and improv from there.
They are really great people and know a ton of stuff. I don't really care for the bashing you guys are doing over some gaskets that were never ment to be for our cars. I live 10 minutes from them and they are stand up guys and leader's in the 3800 community
As for the pro mags and pedestal stuff I have no idea because my engine internally is stock yet.

I asked and told I would recieve a L36 crank bolt, thats why i am upset. And yea we are under the GrandPrix section, which also does come in L36 trim. I have placed plenty of orders thru ZZP and been very satisfied, but the fact that they arent willing to man up here and admit, "hey maybe we could take the fall for this one." They just pass the blame on because I didnt ask specific enough questions, because i didnt watch a video that i didnt know existed, etc etc.
yea understandable on that, I was just upset about the gasket kit remarks because people shouldn't hate zzp just because they failed to realize the gp l36 is different than the fbody l36.
Maybe the bolt was just in a wrong bin. I can imagine they sometimes get some things mixed up, when you go there, there are parts and boxes everywhere and different bins labeled with different parts. They recently moved to a new building that is much larger than their previous one and they really haven't settled in yet with everything. Going up to the desk to pay for stuff is a maze yet, lol.
They new they ****ed up and didn't make it right.
The bolt wasn't in the wrong bin.
Others have had the same problem.
Others have had different problems.
The main thing is, they never go the extra step to properly resovle the situation. Nobody walks away feeling like they got good service when something goes wrong.
I won't buy anything from them again, and I won't recommend anyone else does.
