Okay so I have a 2001 upper lower intake, fuel rails throttle body. Would I need to swap out my PCM or Engine harness If I opted to use this on a 98 firebird? My design is throttle by cable ATM. Also would sending the upper-lower off to abbot for a p&p yeild any noticable gains? Or does the entire block need to be reworked to benifit? 1 last one here. Can I not mount up my old throttle body to the new upper intake? I dont have my old one here to look ATM.

It is not worth the money you will have to invest. I tried to do this already.

You can't install the 98 TB. You will have to use the electronic TB - so you will need the 99+ PCM, electronic gas pedal at the least. Sensors are different so you may need the entire wiring harness.

just use your original stock stuff for intakes and tb. You can send the intakes out to be ported, you will gain some but the biggest gains come when they match ported heads. They can gasket match the two intakes and then the lower to stock heads though.

Well it sounds like this would just not really be worth it for the electronic throttle body. I will just take my old upper off and clean it out. This whole thing occured to me as I have a 14 K block (rather clean) with 126K manifold up (prolly very very dirty). Also does the new maf sensor from a 2001 interchange with a 98? They do seem to have diff numbers ect on them so prolly not. What about the coils and boot? Im just checking to see if I can get any use outta this stuff before I sell it off here. Should I clean it before I sell it or just take good representative pictures?
