no it's not gonna add '90' HP instant but it improves throttle response and acceleration under heavy load. we can get the rear end broke loose in 3rd gear after the chip, before we could only chirp then. "faster shifts" I don't know because its a 6 speed.

please dont prompt someone to buy this, I have had experience with these back in the day, it will not help and it will adversly effect the way your car runs.
Who knows, maybe you got a defective chip somehow and his relative got a good one. Why can't he persuade someone to buy something with positive results that he witnessed, but it's ok for someone to persuade him not to buy it because of bad results?

I myself, wouldn't buy it because I haven't heard enough about it from real people I know so I wouldn't go with it, go with something you know and can trust.
Car and Driver, or Motortrend should test these things in one of their Mags.........put all the controversy to rest, maybe take some of the scum off of Ebay.

I have one in my car right now. I was stupid and paid $19.99 for one (the very same one in your post), when you can just buy the resistor from Radio Shack. With my LT1 CAI in there, my power steering reservoir was in the way of my IAT sensor. I've had no idling problems at all, like everyone claims. Didn't really notice any difference with it in or it out, but whenever I get to the dyno, I'm going to do a before and after with it to see. If there is any gain at all from it, it's very little, and if there is any loss from it, it's also very minimal. I'm not saying go buy it, I'm just telling you my experience with it. If you absolutely have to have one, go buy the resistor from Radio Shack for like $0.99 instead.
This was not a resistor that my uncle got, it was similar to the JET chip it hooks into his computer.
Really? Like I said, I've got one on my car right now. It plugs into the IAT sensor. At first I thought it was a regular chip, until it came and saw how small it was. Popped it open, and all that's in there is a resistor. I can even get a pic if you want.
