    ok i bought white98mo's entire engine block and am wanting to build it up to put in my car. i want a setup that will be really good for n/a but will also work good with any type of forced induction. i already have full exhaust, short shifter, gears, alum driveshaft and intake. ive thought about upgraded fuel system, .010 over bottom end, fully ported heads, ls6 valve springs, double roller timing set, hardened pushrods, titanium retainers etc., and either gt1 or gt2 cam for the build but need opinions on what everyone thinks. also i want a good cam sound and have heard all the gt2 sound clips but the only gt1 clip ive heard you couldnt really tell what it sounded like at idle so if anyone has another clip or knows how it lopes let me know. any opinions or feedback on this would be great.


    also, i know zzp has a complete gasket kit for the l36 but it has option for "1st design" and "2nd design" so how would i know which to get or what other sites have a complete gasket kit

    Its cheaper to just get the parts you need seperate(for the engine rebuild).
    They throw in a bunch of gaskets you dont need. Heck seperately they throw in extras, like o-rings that dont even go on our cars.

          I dont see no "1st design" and "2nd design" for the L36 I only see one.
          If the 2nd design is a newer model than the first then get the 2nd. IDK
          Maybe you should email them and ask. Thats their job.
          I dont understand are you wanting to do a FI setup on your car?
          Sounds like youre gonna want to do more research before you decide what to do!

            i want a n/a build that would work with FI if i ever decided to boost it. the main thing i wanna know is there anything you guys would recommend for that type setup

              I dont know everything you wanna do but heres a start:
              Total Seal piston rings
              AE Clevite 77 Trimetal bearings
              Normal auto parts store gaskets
              ARP head studs (if ya want)
              Reuseable rocker arm bolts

              If you are gonna rebuild it yourself, you might wanna start reading all 25++++ pages of a service manual like Haynes/Chilton's, before you start to actually do it. Research in the FI section if your serious about boosting it (dont know what type of FI you want). You will not be able to go over a max of like... 9psi on the stock tune

                dont get gaskets from the local parts store if your tring to make a reliable powerful motor get somthing worth a dam
