i have a 98 camaro and i need rods,crank,pistons should i get a stroker kit?
where should i go? i also want to spray it when it gets back out so ant suggestions?
sorry about the question, im just lost on what i need to do..my car was started with no oil and i dont know where i need to go to get everything fixed.. looking at my options too. my crank, 4 rods, and all my bearings are screwed and im not sure what i should do. i need new rings too.. where should i go to get a rebuild kit? maybe like auto zone or does someone know a better place. i have a hard time finding stuff for this motor
yea, they dont recommend more than 9lbs of boost or a 50 shot on the stroker
dont go to autozone! ugh
Total Seal piston rings and AE Clevite 77 Trimetal bearings
Is your block okay???????????????????????????
you could just get a junkyard motor..drop it in and be done with it
(unless you are wanting to build up the motor)
well it has a cam, new springs pushrods timingchain retainers valveseals... i can get a motor for like 500 bucks,my motor is @ a machine shop...i dont think im going to the the stroker kit..

Depending on how much you're intentions are with the spray, there's two stroker kits available to you...
The first can handle a fair amount and the second will handle quite a bit.

yeah $500 for a new (used) motor sounds OK.. might get lucky and get something with about 60-70K on it.. I always say a new motor is the way to go as you can always save all of your old cutom stuff and put it in later and + with a full reubuild there is always something that pops up and always something else you end up needing and the price ends up adding up.. $100 for gaskets then couple $100 for the machining then $100 for this that and the other... geuss the real question is how much time do you have and what did your old engine have on it?? if you had soemthing with like 40K on it then you've got to do some thinking.. but if you have something with like 150K on it if so then its a no branier
I will Never buy a stroker... just too much $$$
You spin a bearing and its probably gone for good
Then you're probably gonna need a new block and new stroker crank
My $$$ goes towards FI or N20
