i was having trouble with my old engine overheating occasionally(found out i was burning coolant in 5 cylinders) so i bought a used shortblock from "white98mo" off this board and did a full rebuild on it with:
.030 Speed-pro hypereutectic pistons
speed-pro piston rings
federal mogul bearings
arp head studs
comp OE-r lifters
ls1 valve springs
comp cams xtreme energy camshaft #76-801-9
jp double roller timing set
rebuilt oil pump
gasket matched and polished heads and intakes
zoom MU series clutch kit

mods already:
full 2.5 inch custom catback with catco highflow converter and mellotone muffler turned down behind the rear tires
b&m ripper shifter
k&n FIPK
came with y87 package

still have stock manifolds on for now just ordered headers(i know shouldve done headers when i did the swap but ran out of money to spend at the time the parts were ordered)
dyno tune coming in the next month or so along with GTP injectors

will have pics for sure tomm and hopefully a video

what you guys think?

Re: new engine installed

Yeah, what's important is ...does it run s m o o t h ?
Does it eat gas?
To me that is the most important thing. I don't know about U all but gas is almost $3 a gallon now and its hard to believe we are now forced to accept it. How much a car eats in gas is newly important to me.

high gas prices are overrated...

How was the install? Notice improvements then?

go to advanced reply and then manage attachments to add pics, or load them on like photbucket or cardomain and then link them onto the site using
