buildup list

okay....so its almost time to start ordering parts for the buildup and i would like to get some opinions on my part list (yeah....i know....another list....sorry guys lol) any input on what i should add, take away, ect is welcome....hell any input at all is great. and i hate to ask it but....any ballpark estimates on numbers/times from you guys with similar setups? at this time i dont really have any goals for my hp or et....so some estimates may help me decide if i am under-building the engine.

abbott racing stage 2 heads
abbott racing ported upper/lower intakes
cam from abbott racing (boost or n/a??)
- also should i go ahead and get new lifters and rocker arms?
arp head studs
arp main studs
clevite77 main bearings
slp 180* t-stat (or 160*?)
zexel lsd
slp 3.73s
bmr subframe connectors
strut tower brace (yes/not worth it?)

and a few other questions - should i upgrade to bigger injectors?
should i spend the money for a msd dis-4 box?

current mods are - slp intake, pacesetter ceramic headers, borla 3" catback, and msd coils

so....any suggestions?

hmmm, well i dont know much about you, but your mods so far suggest your not an engine builder and you DO realze that some of the parts you listed require you to pull and break down your motor.

also questions like boost or NA cam....well are you gonna run boost or stick na?

97rs - yeah sorry about not searching. i did some of that today and answered alot of my own questions. the "herbal remedy" makes me lazy sometimes though lol

udlose - actually you are right, ive never built a motor. ive disassembled several, but oddly enough ive never put one back together.
im aware that id have to pull the motor, ive got another 3.8 coming soon to use for the build so i wont be out of a car. as for the cam question i gotta admit im alittle embarrased about how i asked that - what i shouldve said is that i am planning on supercharging it eventually, and wanted to know if there would be any adverse effects for running a boost cam on my n/a motor untill i could get a s/c kit.

i think that the abbot stage 2 heads are a waste of money, you can get the comp cam kit , take your heads and upper/lower intake have it port and polishes for a lot cheaper then what they want.

I wouldnt say a complete waste of money for the heads but they are a bit pricey. However they are cheaper and better quality than the ZZP heads. Im considering doing the stag2 or stage3 heads with intakes myself. This is also good if you dont have a shop near you that can do the P&P work. I had a shop near me but they wont do any outside work anymore.
