    OK, think I've narrowed it down to 3 possible Cams, all of which are ZZP. Either the VS Cam, GT1, or GT2. I've been through all this before and just want to recheck what everyone thinks about them. Here's the specs:

    VS: 206/216 at .050"
    Intake Lift .320" (.512" lift at 1.6:1 rocker ratio)
    Exhaust Lift .317" (.507" lift at 1.6:1 rocker ratio)
    115 LSA

    GT1: 210°/210° at .050"
    Intake Lift .317" (.507" lift at 1.6:1 rocker ratio)
    Exhaust Lift .317" (.507" lift at 1.6:1 rocker ratio)
    113 LSA

    GT2: 216°/216° at .050"
    Intake Lift .317" (.507" lift at 1.6:1 rocker ratio)
    Exhaust Lift .317" (.507" lift at 1.6:1 rocker ratio)
    111 Lobe Separation

    This is for a 97 Camaro, current mods are Cat-Back exhaust and CAI. Soon mods are LS1 rear with 3.73's or 3.42's, headers, cutout, and a cam (obviously). This is my DD, and it will be driven about 70 miles a day. Most of them are highway. I want to make it a fairly fast car, yet still keep the dependability and gas mileage (currently pulling out 21MPG redlining to every gear :D ). I'll be doing a springs and retainers swap to 105# when I install the cam. I'm not worried about the price of the install because me, my dad, and my friend who owns a race shop will be doing that.

    Abbott Racing Heads Naturally Aspirated cam
    -210/220 @ .050
    -.320" lobe lift on the intake, .512 with a 1.6 rocker ratio
    -.320 lobe lift on the exhaust, .512 with a 1.6 rocker ratio
    -112 lobe separation

    For great performance

    For better mileage the GT1 might be a better choice.

        Just a heads-up, that cam requires alot of tuning to get rid of the KR generated by it's harmonic. I know, I have that cam and have spent hours w/ a HPTuners trying to get it to run right. Once you get around that, it's good for mid-13s, 12s if you really start gutting the car

            True, I forgot about the problems you had with that. Good info.

              That's something I forgot to mention. Preferably a cam I can run on a stock tune. I'm thinking maybe HP Tuners later this summer if I get more involved. I know the GT1 and VS cam both work fine on a stock tune. I want the car to be faster, but I'm not wanting to go so far that the dependability and quality is greatly questioned.

                Get HP tuners first. You will need it eventually anyway and it would allow you to get a better cam when you get to it. Some times you have to do things in an order you dont want to but in the long run it's better.

                  ^that cam on a '98 camaro was the cam-only record holder for a long time, and had virtually no tuning

                    Stattama Stage 4 Turbo Cam (Duration @ .050" is 224/218. Lift is .536/.528 with 1.6 rockers. Lobe separation is 116 degrees.)

                          I think the VS cam is more of a power adder cam than a na cam.

                          I have the gt2 and am happy with it. I've also heard good things
                          about the abbott cam mentioned above. I guess the gt1 would
                          be a good choice for you since you don't want to do any tuning.

                            CAM-361 - INTENSE™ Stage 1X Normally Aspirated Cam, duration @ .050": 212º/216º, lobe lifts: .327"/.321", valve lifts with 1.60:1 rocker arms: .523"/.514", lobe separation angle: 113º, intake centerline: 109º

                            That has always been my favorite N/A cam that no one has pushed to it's limites yet!
