Re: 3.4 limit
im confussed youve been a member since 05 but it doesnt seem like youve read anything. and your really kinda asking 2 questions the 3.4 bottom end with the addition of forged pistons(rods are already forged) will easily take 500hp, your not going to get there with the stock heads without a lot of boost or juice. if you truly want all the motor has to give swap to 3x00 heads get them p&p through in some forged pistons a cam and put a turbo on it then tune it with megasquirt.
edit: The strength of the heads is the least of your worries

Re: 3.4 limit
add in a FWD 3500 crank (factory forged) and you will be capable of handling even more power, this is what i live by, nothing is impossible with an engine it all depends how deep your pockets are, research and money are your best friends when building a high horsepower engine ;)
76 Camaro Rally Sport-355/TH350- Soon to be LT1/TH350 with a little laughing gas to wake it up...;)
89 Ram D350 CTD/M5- 1 Ton Dually getting 27 MPG's

Re: 3.4 limit
at the time i was using megasquirt to only control my 60 lb injectors. the timing was stock, which is why i didnt go over 10 psi. i'm working on a FAST system to take care of everything and then i'll just keep uping the boost every now and then until something breaks i plan to start at 15 and go from thereBen

1995 White/Black 3.4L
As far away from stock as possible
My Site!!!
RedLineV6
Rebuild and 3.4 T70 Turbo is complete
Details to come....
