3100, 3400 and 3500 use the same sized pushrods, but the 94-95 (Gen3 big port with non-roller rockers) have harder ones because of the stamped rocker valvetrain.

does this mean that stock FWD 60 degree pushrods can be used with the 3x00 top end and the RWD 3.4 block and have the right geometry?

I got pushrods from advance auto, for a 90 cavalier with a 3.1.

the one stated above are correct. The problem is starting in 92 EVERY 60* V6 had a roller cam, roller lifters are about .3in taller. so when you put the 3x00 heads on the 3.4 block with a flat tappet cam, the pushrods are to short. the 92+ push rods are all to small. I installed the '90 3.1 push rods today without hitch. the intake manifold is on, the fuel rail and injectors are in. the TB is on. I just need to put the timing cover, oil pan and various sensors on and she'll be runnin.

You mean every FWD 60* ;)

Don't forget the flat tappet cams have a smaller base circle. I will pull the cam out of on of the 3500's I have at the shop and measure it side-by-side with the 3.4 cam.

You can also use 93-95 ball-fulcrum rockers if you want adjustability and they are still 1.6 ratio like the rollers.

Can't wait to see results of your efforts. Did you P&P the heads? What cam are you using? TB size?

im assuming the 3500 cam would have a different grind, let us know what you find... what cam are you thinking of using forced?

Roller grinds are very different from flat tappet, but I am curious about the base circle vs. pushro length.

I'm considering a .550" lift and 285*adv duration w/112* (maybe less) seperation while N/A, and a wider LSA and less duration for the turbo(s).

do you wanna use the roller cam for some obvious reasons or are you gonna stick with the flat tappet, im assuming you are undecide at this point? hey i know you said on fullthrottle you had a whole top end, what is it off of and what are you looking to get for it, sorry to jack the thread, shoot me a PM or an email

I got the biggest cam I could find 107/110/.218/.228/.454/.480 adjusted for the 1.6 rockers its 107/110/.230/.242/.480/.512. so that should have one hella nice loap. No I did not P&P I hate to let ya down but that money is going to the 396stroker I'm gonna build for my 86 T/A. I am going to see what I can do with a stock tune then I'm gonna get ahold of fast and have a custom computer built

That cam sounds big for the stock tune. Is that the 272* adv duration? The 262 is 212* 212* .440/.440 with 1.5 rockers.

have you ever considered megasquirt for tuning it is a pretty decent tuning program, FAST is great but the price is outrageous, i dont know what youre budget is but that could help if you are trying to keep it low...

MS1 (perfect for piggyback) is on sale at DIYautotuns for $150 unassembled. The timing definately needs to be retarded for the aluminum heads.

they actually will reprogram your ECU? i have never heard of that? im gonna use MS because it will give me the ability to tune on the fly and make my own adjustments to the way i think the car feels and is running...
