Will an LT1 pulled from a Corvette fit my '96 Bird, or do I need to find an LT1 from an fbody when/if I perform an engine swap?

will fit, but just like one from a fbody, it is going to take a lot of work and costs will add up. The oil pan might be different and accessory setup might be slightly different

The engine I was looking at came with everything, even a tranny. Why would bolting it on be hard? Are the bodies designed different for the v6's and v8's?

motor mounts are different, and its not a "bolt on" you need a new computer, new cluster, ahhhh soo much

As I said, the engine I was looking at came with everything. Changing motor mounts isn't that hard.

for starters the k frame is diffrent not just motor mounts , the cluster needs to be out of an lt1 to show correctly , if i remeber right the assesories (spell) are placed lower on the vette to compancate for the lower hood line , i also cant remember but i want to say the fuel rails are diffrent .
