over christmas i want to get my 3.8 rebuilt. my question is will changing the compression ratio to 8.5:1 dramatically affect my ability to legally pass a CA smog check?

going to supercharge it. i'm going to start with pretty low psi but i want room to grow to higher psi. i have read a lot of threads where people have pretty high boost on their stock internals but i don't want to risk the chance of blowin somthing up.
