Has anyone ever put a 4.3 in a camaro?

Probably, but why? The 4.3 jimmy/blazer engine is rated at less hp than the 3.8. Unless you're talking about a Sy/Ty engine, it's not worth it. I think you'd have fitment problems with the way the Sy/Ty turbo is mounted.

I only have the 3.4 just trying to get a little more out of it. Or I'm gonna put a V-8 in it.

V8 is a much better idea. Or 3500 top end swap for the 3.4. Do a search if you are interested in that.

I was thinking of going Carb not Fuel Injection . DO you see any clearence problems?

Lots of them. You're going to have to find a really small air cleaner, and cut the plastic cowl behind the hood. There are tons of swaps and writeups on ls1tech.

I was on ls1 performace a couple times with some posts. Guy seam kinda of snooty.They were all negative about it. They all say just get rid of it and buy a z-28. But I dont have the money for that . I can get a complete 350 for a 100.00 bucks from my buddy. I will check out ls1tech . Thanks for your imput

FWIW, you're going to need different engine mounts, and transmission to make this swap work. Also, headers are going to be rough.

yeah... you may need a new exhaust system compeltely depending on what you are running righ tnow..and i would think it would be a good idea to put in v8 suspension or am i wrong?

Suspension is the least of your concerns.
