I was jumping all over the place, trying to figure out where I wanted to go with my car. Finally decided I'm just going to do a N/A build up, and then maybe throw a 75 shot on it afterwards. I currently have a GT2 sitting in my living room waiting to be installed, but I'm waiting to save up more money so I can do it all right and only go into the engine once. Here's my list:

    GT2 Cam
    110# springs
    P&P Heads
    MLS Head Gasket
new UIM and LIM gaskets (small coolant leak)

Do you guys think I should P&P the UIM and LIM too? What about the TB? I'll have the car apart for atleast a week, so I've got some time to do different things to it. What else should I do to make this a nice build? I'll be taking it to get it dynotuned after we get everything installed. So, any other recommendations?

port but dont polish the intake and yes dremel the hell out of the throttle body. if it's going to be N/A it can use all the help it can get to make good power. but don't polish intake side unless it is a drag only car. not good for daily driving.

i would at least port the LIM to match your ported heads. and don't dremel your TB to hell.

Ya, I wouldn't dremel your TB to hell, Just cut and dremel just below the maf and do a little port in the TB and then polish it smooth. I wouldn't go as far as porting the front of the TB so you could still retain your TB screen. Intakes upper and lower I would port and polish esp. the lower like IDOVOOdoo said to match the heads. Also I've never heard of 110# springs, I think you mean comp 105# springs.

your TB is big enough already for NA, no need to touch that. Get your intakes ported to match up to the heads as well as the intake gasket between them (gasket match)

No, WickedSix9838 has a set for sale. When I originally posted this, I thought they were 110, turns out they're sitting at 112#'s. I figured I'd go ahead and go with a bit stiffer spring, in case I change the car around in the future.

Just realized I forgot to give my car specs:

97 Camaro m5. Moroso LT1 CAI, Full 3" Exhaust, Pacesetter headers, Aluminum DS, Z-28 rear w/3.73's. So, I've done all the basic bolt-ons, and now I'm ready to go into the motor. This is my DD, which is why I'm not going big on the cam or anything, but I do want some nice power from it. I'll take it to the track a few times, but it's mainly just supposed to be a fun DD.

              Re: Future Plans

Any idea what I may run in the 1/4? Right now, my best time is 15.102 in the 1/4 with those mods, engine sensor fuse blown and them all f'd up, and a crap load of weight in the back(subs+box+amp+school ****+other random ****). Last run I got in was a 1/8 mile, and it was 9.624, which should put me in the 14's, but barely, with the same **** and mods, but with DR's. Once I get this stuff done, I'm throwing the back DR's on it, emptying out the seats (may even take out the rears), and hauling it to the track. Heck, I may even put the skinnies on the front:naughty: I'll get a few passes in on the street first to make sure everything's running right, and to burn up some of my gas for more weight savings:banana:

So, any idea what she'll run afterwards?

With tuning and possible injector upgrade. Have to see how well the tuning goes to see if I need more fuel or not. If it's just a little, I may just get a pump, but if it's off quite abit, then injectors will be going in.

                    Re: Future Plans

With all of those mods and all of the necessary supporting mods and tuning you should knock out 13s anyday of the week in decent weather.

                      Re: Future Plans

Good, that's what I was hoping for. I think I may be going to the track again in a week or so. I'm gonna empty her out completely, remove the rear seats and maybe some other weight, trailer her up there, run DRs and see what she does. That way, I'll have a good baseline for afterwards.

Why are you going to trailer it?

                          Re: Future Plans

I could drive it, but I don't know how the DR's would do at 80MPH for a 1 1/2hr drive. I could swap them at the track, but at home I have an air ratchet and lift, where as at the track I'd have to do it with a lugwrench and jack.

unless you have some mickey thompson slicks, which you shouldn't, you'll be fine. I know tons of people that DD on nitto and BFG drag radials, and haven't said a negative thing about running them on the highway

I DD MT et radials for 4K miles with skinnies.

It's no problem. They're DOT tires for a reason, lol.
