Re: Noisy Valvetrain
I think the noise comes from the larger camshafts, not the head work. But I just let mine be noisy.Black 1998 Pontiac Firebird A-4 swap
271.4rwhp/259.4rwtq NA
13.30@102.44
www.freewebs.com/wickedsix98

Mine's been making noise for the 3 years or so that I've had my cam installed. Just learn to live with it. :)Matt

Re: Noisy Valvetrain
You're welcome :D. I'm going to be going into my engine eventually, and hopefully I won't have a noisy valvtrain. I've been told my double roller timing chain is going to be loud though :(~97 3.8L V6 Camaro~

Re: Noisy Valvetrain
more aggressive cams = valves shutting quicker from what i understand... thats what you hear

Re: Noisy Valvetrain
Headwork you say? Did you get some stiffer springs? Because if you did the valves are gonna be shutting harder cause of more pressure on them hence the louder noise plus the profile of the cam of how it lays the valves down will play a big role1998 Camaro A4
K&N filter, MSD coils, MSD plug wires, NGK TR6 plugs, Flowmaster exhaust. 10.2@73.5-1/8mi
