Question, have any of you guy or girls had any issues with a noisy valve train after doing an kinda head work? If so how did you combat the issue?

    Re: Noisy Valvetrain

I think the noise comes from the larger camshafts, not the head work. But I just let mine be noisy.

      Turn up the radio. :D

Mine's been making noise for the 3 years or so that I've had my cam installed. Just learn to live with it. :)

          Re: Noisy Valvetrain

You're welcome :D. I'm going to be going into my engine eventually, and hopefully I won't have a noisy valvtrain. I've been told my double roller timing chain is going to be loud though :(

            Re: Noisy Valvetrain

Mine rattles ever since I put the cam in it a few years ago. It always bothers me, but is a forgivable annoyance for the extra HP I got.

more aggressive cams = valves shutting quicker from what i understand... thats what you hear

                Re: Noisy Valvetrain

Headwork you say? Did you get some stiffer springs? Because if you did the valves are gonna be shutting harder cause of more pressure on them hence the louder noise plus the profile of the cam of how it lays the valves down will play a big role
