  • Fabbed racing intake manifold

I'm almost ready to start fabbing the manifold as described in the thread. Anyone interested in working with me on a prototype, OR wanting to buy an intake, pm me.

interesting idea, would it be reversable though as the intake inlet would face our firewall if we set it up like gp guys do...

Looks like you guys are thinking of something like the holden intake then that we are trying to get over here in the US. We just need to find someone to send us them from aussie land. lol. Then a custom sheetmetal box on top of the LIM and we are gonna be good to go

        Re: Fabbed racing intake manifold

i'll get a more recent pic up...i have all that stuff at work.

to answer your question 97rs, my plenum is reversible, and will point north-south, not east-west.

there are a several permutations...6.4" runner, 4" runner, open plenum, divided plenum. the runners don't impede flow at all! since it is for l67 guys, it doesn't have injector bungs. machining bungs will raise the cost. someone has suggested buying a used set of l67 heads. that's ok, as long as your current heads aren't already ported. you could also machine your heads for injectors, and get new fuel rails.

is this the intake you're referring to?

my intake will outflow this. the come racing intake is $1750 aud delivered. i also noticed that it doesn't have the coolant crossovers like the L67.

i was refering to the stock holden lower intake like in that pic, not the upper which is the 1750 price. A sheetmetal box can be made for the upper for less than the cost of that upper from COME.

so yours you would be able to flip around so the tb would be to the front on our cars then?

that's right, the throttle body will face forward on f-body apps. in some w-body apps, they want the throttle body facing towards the right tire as well (because of a front mount ic).
