    I agree, rockers at the back of the engine are a pain. Glad to hear it's all coming together.

      thanks. it's funny reading through the pages of my old posts... i had NO clue how to do anything. I think i've got a pretty good handle on this nowadays.

        we finished putting the valve covers and plenum on today. those injectors were hard to fit in there. I can only see 5 of them so i hope that 6th one is in, but if 5 are in the odds are pretty good i can imagine.

        just finishing up the EGR and other small stuff then i'm gonna start her up, hopefully tomorrow.

          LOL thats what I though when I put 19lb/hr injectors in my 3.4...until fuel was leaking down the motor....its a pain in the ****

            so how can i tell if the injectors arent in correctly when i start it up?

              don't put the upper on...disconnect the coil packs and crank it. if its together correctly there won't be gas every where

                the upper has to be on for the injectors to be in the car, they fit over the uim and fit into the lim, its a really gay system.

                    update:

                    I finished installing the EGR and the last goodies and i fired her up.

                    she seemed to choke at first and was real loud. There was lots of smoke coming from the engine bay.

                    After about 5 minutes of rough idle at around 1200 rpm she started to overheat so i turned her off.

                    I filled her up with more coolant (i was about 4 quarts short) and started her up again.

                    This time she did not overheat and little/no smoke came from the engine bay, however the rough idle was still there. Once the lifters filled with oil, the engine quieted down a bit. She is up on jack stands so i don't know if the car will take a $hit while driving but as soon as i drop it i will find out. I really hope i didn't do anything wrong.

                    There does NOT appear to be any fuel leaking from the injectors so that is a positive sign, but once again it idled real rough and when i burped the gas pedal it seemed to really choke and die.

                    any comments on this?

                      When you are talking about the Edelbrock valve covers for the 3.4, do you mean the one's listed for the 3.1 or 2.8?
