I didn't add it all up, but it wasn't as bad as you'd think. I got the cam used for $150, and then another $200 for gaskets. I also had a friend tear the top-end down since I was real busy with work, and that cost another $200. Then add in little things, it's probably around $600. $400 if you do all the work yourself and get it done right.
OK. Turns out my water pump had sprung a leak. $45 and an hour or two later, car's up and running again :D. Going to check her again in the morning to make sure she's holding coolant fine, but I think that's it. Also found out that the bolt flange for my driver's side header is beating my a-arm to death. That's my mysterious rattle from down there. Hoping to get it fixed with-in the next week, cuz it sounds awful when I take off/brake :(.
