  • No oil pressure, spun bearing?

OK. This thing is wierd. It had low presure to start with but i was assuming that it was the bearing that was most likely spun (knocking). But now when i first start it it will have pressure for a few seconds then drop to zero. but the guage will blip just a little when the motor is revved. Also the low oil light will come on when its started. It was a little low but i toppped it off and it should be fine. Anyone? I'm not to worried as of right now because its parked but very soon the bottom end is coming apart and getting new bearings, and i want to have oil pressure when it goes back together lol.

How would i tell if i'm going to have oil pressure when i put new bearings in once i get it apart? I mean if the pump is out or something else is wrong then i wouldn't have pressure even with new bearings. But i really do think its becasue of the bearing(s)

if u spun a bearing, ur motor wouldn't work.

Have you checked your oil pressure sending unit, maybe it is faulty?

or maybe the oil sensor is busted, or broken off.
