    Re: Knock Knock!

Guess I have to take it apart and do the whole rebuild again don't I? Think that I am gonna go ahead and buy a 4.3L instead since it gives out more kick, you guys think that it will fit on a Camaro? If not I think that I'm gonna have to rebuild the 3.4L block.

      Re: Knock Knock!

hey man, not trying to be offensive, but this is my thread. for the best response, you should make your own. I'd say go ahead and rebuild it again. I'm not sure about the 4.3L, but anything's possible for the right amount of cash; remember you'll probably have to get a different tranny, motor mounts, tranny mount, wiring, computer, etc....

Back on topic: My dad has a buddy that owns a machine shop, and is going to ask him about checking the rod out. Really don't want to tear the rest of the motor apart, so we'll see what he says and go from there.

You really should take the rest of the motor apart just to clean everything out from the spun bearing.

A 4.3 should fit anywhere a small block does. The 4.3 is a 350 with two cylinders cut off.
