So, there's a weird sound coming from my motor. I took a sound clip of it and want your guys opinion. My uncle thinks it's a cracked piston skirt. At first I thought it was a rod, but my oil pressure is perfectly fine? Is it possible to still have good oil pressure if it's a rod? I also noticed some white smoke from the exhaust. I put abit of wax on the tailpipes before I started it (was cleaning the car, and figured I'd take the clip), and there was water up in there, so I don't know if that's what it is, or if it's coolant. She's been sitting for almost a week now, and I need to get her fixed.

Re: Knock Knock!
It could be a lifter I have had it the last two winters. Just change your oil with a 5w 30 and lucas oil stabilizer. This has fixed mine both times. Is the oil you have now a 10w 30 ? and many miles old is it. Also does the sound go away when warmed up or when your drive it down the road alittle?

Re: Knock Knock!
ask around. have you flowbenched those heads. ls1s cant even use a 500 because its stupid they reach max flow at 450. i know your heads do not flow as good as ls1 heads. that may verywell be your problem. your stock cam is like a 200-250 i believe so the engine was built around that and now you are opening up the velves twice as deep and they probably are hitting the pistons.cant wait till my lt1 and nitrous.
