They are cheaply made and overpriced for the quality. Cardboard end caps aren't good either. Cardboard soaked in pressurized oil for months= not good.

Pulling motor here in a few minutes. Waiting for my dad to finish his VW Truck so I can have the compressor and unbolt the tranny. After that, I just have to move the PS reservoir and it should come right out :)

OK, turns out the boom on the hoist isn't long enough. My dad's going to make an extension during his free time at his work, so we should get it out next weekend.

You're anxious?!? You're not the one that's been without the car for over a month now! I love my Camaro and love driving it. Especially since it gets 2x the gas mileage with me stomping on it than my dad's truck does with me babying it, hence the shortage of funds recently

Yeah, i found some LS6 yellow spring for a decent price, so I'm gonna go with them.

She's out! And apart (partially atleast). Found what we believe is the problem. Spun a bearing; well, not really spun, but it was broked :P. The crank's scared up from it, so I'm looking for a new crankshaft and bearings, then back together she goes :). Shouldn't take too long; Advance Auto has one for $250ish, might get it just so I don't have to wait for it to be shipped to me.

                          Re: Knock Knock!

Well my motor has the same problem as his but when i rev it to 2500rpm-3000RPM you can hear it after that no sound. When its a cold start No noise comes out but when it warms up and i rev it you can here the noise. Here's a Video of it when it's warm, this only happens when my oil pressure goes under 20psi anything before that it sounds normal i was thinking that it can be my lifters or maybe I'm not getting enough oil pressure up on the lifters, because it shows my oil pressure under 20psi at idle when warm. Can anyone tell me what can be wrong I rebuilt my motor last year because the crankshaft had snapped in 3 places, I replaced bearings and the crank as well as a whole piston because it bent from the piston connecting rod.

Make sure you replace the rod or have it resized so this doesn't happen again.

I did when it was apart but do you guys think that my motor needs another rebuild or not? because thats the way it sounds currently.

I'm thinking all new rods, bearings and crank from Advance Auto :). Should come together nicely
