    ok i have bin reading about putting the 3.1 or the 1999 grand am gt 3400 heads on my 3.4. now do i or do i not need to use different pistons.

    ok i figured it out i think!!

    For the 3400/3100 heads, yes, piston need to be changed. If you can tune for the 11.5:1 compression, 3500 head will work with Camaro pistons.

      ok thanks and from what i have read i would need to go MS to tune it for that right, and i would need the 3500 intake withe the 3400 plainum and throttle body. i hope i got that right.

        Intake has to match the heads, but the UIM's are interchangable, correct.

        The 3500 UIM doesn't fit under the cowl unless you modify the brake booster port.

          thanks now what about the ecm and exhaust? lol cant fined anything about the exhaust and from what i understand i have to have the ecm flashed to run right but my car cant be dun so other than MS what is my options?

            I'm woking on an OBD1 swap. Just need to research a few more things.

              ok cool let me know, it looks like i have some time befor i do this anyway my tranny went out so i gues i will do the a4 to m5 conversion first. i just need to know if i need to do anything to the drive line.
