i know this sounds dumb, your probably gonna say why borther if your not doing it right. I dont think i can afford the whole top end swap bacause of college. without the heads, i would need no pistons or tuneing, so t5het takes line 3/4ths off of my expences. so, with the stock heads, and a FWD intake manifold, plus headers and a fancy intake, would i make any power? how much? Evin if i were to spend the money i would on heads, i *think* would rather spend that money on spray, more power for my buck. just thinking out loud what do you guys think?

Not to mention, you might be able to get ~20hp out of the tune alone, and will get a feeling how the engine responds to different conditions and driving habits.

Tune first, then headers (they will be needed for the top end swap anyways), then the top end. Just my opinion, but that seems the wisest order to me.
There is a couple people using MS now on their 3.4's thet have been posting here lately. Look in the thread titled "tuning an 3.4".
I'm working on an OBD1 swap for the junkyard kings, just need a little more info, then a guinnea pig with OBD1.5 lol.

Re: 3.4 top end swap: intake manifold with stock heads.
my way to answer that question is to advise you to do some research.
fullthrottlev6.com has quite a bit of information, since forced_firebird has exposed a plethora of his knowledge in the forums ;)
these forums dont seem to have the same amount of information though.
even a google search may help a little.
but if youre looking for parts, forced_firebird is your man; he is very informed about the 3.4 hybrid swap.

Yep I'm on 60 DegreeV6 too. So any one have any idea what kind of gains I would get from MS, intake, and headers? Seems like a good idea bacause those are 3500 top end friendly parts.
