      Re: Looking into cams.

I have it and love it :) Powerband is shifted up abit, but there's plenty of power. With full bolt-ons and a tune, you should be 230rwhp, and running 13's if you're a decent driver.

262 is the biggest you can go without a tune.

                  Re: Looking into cams.

I have a query on the cams list; I've found a Crane Cams 254122 (including lifters) and was thinking of buying it, but the Crane website states it's for "1980-1994 60 degree V-6, 2.8L – 3.1L" (although it later mentions an End Year of 1996), and rocker ratio of 1.5.
Can someone confirm it's ok on a 3.4? And what about the rocker ratio, is that the same as stock or will I need new rockers (and valve springs, pushrods, what-have-you)?
                  Thanks all.

                    Re: Looking into cams.

The early cam grinders often didn't have the SFI timing lobe. In 1994 OBD1.5 was introduced and incorporated SFI which needs a sensor on the cam to know when TDC #1 happens.

The cam will physically fit in 94-95 engines, but the absence of an SFI lobe will cause a check engine light and the car will run batch fire (MPFI).
